Leaked BAM Manual Exposes Bricks & Minifigs Termination Risks

A current Bricks & Minifigs franchise owner has leaked portions of BAM’s confidential Franchisee Training & Operations Manual—and the rules inside raise serious questions about corporate control, owner communication, and the circumstances that may place a franchise agreement at risk.

In this video, Echo Base Network examines provisions stating that BAM may revise the manual without notice, issue later communications that override existing policies, and potentially treat failures to communicate or follow directives as franchise abandonment or grounds for termination.

The published manual also says:

Store owners must identify their locations as independently owned and operated.
BAM may access and search company-assigned store email accounts.
Franchise-wide policy discussions may be removed from shared Slack channels.
Owners are directed to take policy concerns privately “upwards” to corporate.
Communications BAM considers inappropriate may be deleted.
Vendor-communication violations may lead to restrictions and possible termination consequences.

The manual does not prove that BAM routinely monitors emails, automatically terminates owners over missed messages, or can simply seize a locally owned store. It also does not establish that any provision is unlawful. This report examines the written policies, the risks they describe, and how they may help explain why some Bricks & Minifigs owners want an independent voice outside BAM-controlled communication channels.
