Shocking new research shows many air fryer users are putting themselves in danger.

Freedom of Information disclosures for ITV’s Tonight programme from fire crews across the UK show nearly three times as many emergency call outs for “user error” compared with faulty appliances.

Whilst ​​experts say air fryers are safe if used correctly, we found that of the nearly 750 air fryer fires reported since 2022, it is likely that most were the result of avoidable mistakes.
